Digital PR Freelancer – U.S. Market (Agency Client)

Outside IR35

I’m working with a UK-based marketing agency that’s looking to engage an experienced Digital PR Freelancer with strong U.S. market expertise. They’re currently supporting several U.S. clients and want to strengthen their Digital PR capability specifically for the U.S. media landscape.

This is an initial consultancy-style engagement, with clear potential for ongoing freelance work as campaigns ramp up.

Responsibilities:

The first phase will focus on reviewing the agency’s current Digital PR approach for the U.S. market and upskilling their internal team.

• Reviewing existing Digital PR strategy, processes and campaign outputs for U.S. clients

• Assessing how a UK-led Digital PR approach translates to the U.S. media environment

• Identifying gaps, risks and opportunities across ideation, outreach, media targeting and messaging

• Providing practical, actionable recommendations to improve U.S. campaign performance

• Delivering a structured training session to the internal team, focused on U.S. Digital PR best practice and execution

Ongoing Freelance Work (Potential)

Following the initial review and training, there is scope for ongoing freelance support across 4 established U.S. client accounts. This may include:

• Supporting or leading U.S.-focused Digital PR campaigns

• Developing U.S.-relevant campaign ideas and news angles

• Managing outreach to U.S. publications and journalists

• Supporting coverage, authority and link acquisition objectives

• Working closely with SEO and content teams

Experience Needed:

• Proven Digital PR experience within the U.S. market

• Strong understanding of the U.S. media landscape

• Comfortable operating in a consultative, advisory capacity

• Experience delivering training, workshops or enablement sessions

• Happy working remotely with a UK-based agency team

• Available on a freelance basis
