About the Role

At JustAnswer, we’re building the future of AI + human-powered experiences. As a Conversation Designer II, you’ll design and optimize chatbots that help millions of customers worldwide connect with experts and get answers faster. You’ll blend creativity, data, and the latest in LLM + conversational AI to craft engaging interactions that drive impact across e-commerce and customer service.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and refine chatbot flows that convert, support, and delight customers
  • Write crisp, on-brand conversation copy that balances personality with efficiency
  • Analyze performance data and transcripts to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Apply LLMs, prompt engineering, and NLP tools to elevate response quality and scalability
  • Partner with global teams to localize bots and adapt to regional personas
  • Collaborate with analytics to measure and grow impact
  • Lead QA testing (functional, linguistic, regression) to ensure quality experiences
  • Contribute to cross-company projects like chatbot consolidation, competitor research, and new bot launches

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years designing and maintaining conversational AI/chatbots
  • Familiarity with NLP platforms (Dialogflow, Watson, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Python, HTML, or JavaScript
  • Strong data fluency with tools like Excel, PowerBI, or similar
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering
  • Comfortable in Agile workflows with Asana, Azure Boards, Figma, LucidChart
  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills
  • Collaborative, curious, and energized by fast-paced environments

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with ChatScript or other scripting languages
  • Global chatbot localization experience
  • Background in marketplaces, e-commerce, or CX teams
  • Strength in QA leadership and post-launch optimization
