Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for managing clients, which will be made up of individuals and

small; medium sized LTD companies

• Communicate directly and maintain positive relationships with clients, as their first

point of contact

• Management of a growing team, including reviewing their work and

managing intra-team relationships

• Reporting key information to Senior Management

• Bookkeeping (predominantly reviewing work completed by others, and

working through non-standard transactions)

• Review of VAT returns and submission

• Review and submission of annual accounts and corporation tax returns (some preparation for more complex clients)

• Review and submission of self-assessment tax returns for individuals (some preparation for more complex clients)

• Review and presentation of management accounts for larger clients

• Preparation and submission of confirmation statements and other company secretarial work

• Proactive tax planning, for individuals and companies

• Ad hoc tax and financial reporting projects as and when required

Essential Attributes 

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities

• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to get ahead of deadlines

• Prior experience of using Xero and TaxCalc is preferred but not essential

• Ability to work remotely

• Commitment to producing high quality work

• Strong base tax knowledge for small and medium sized businesses

• Experienced user of Dext, Apron and other softwares (desirable)
