This role As the Payroll Implementation Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end project of new client payroll implementations, covering system setup, training, processing the first pay run, and ensuring compliance. You will serve as a trusted partner, guiding clients from initial configuration through to their critical first pay run, while building strong relationships and delivering proactive, excellent customer service to ensure their long-term success. There are two positions available within Australia. Your key focus areas will be:
- End-to-End Client Implementation Management: Serve as the primary contact, managing the full project lifecycle from system setup and training to processing the critical first pay run and ensuring compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Service: Drive change management, build strong, trusted relationships with clients, and deliver proactive, excellent customer service throughout the implementation process.
This will include the following:
- End to end project managing new client onboarding and implementation following established processes including kick-off meetings, system configuration, training, parallel run, audits (WLT), year to date import and go live
- Proactively highlight with a solution focus, any obstacles in the implementation process for any specific clients e.g. any new clients where the current process has come across roadblocks or challenges
- Understanding of the end-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly client pay runs in accordance with instructions, legislation, agreed expectations and best practice
- Provide excellent and proactive customer service in all dealings with your outsourcing and intelligent payroll clients
- Excellent understanding of compliance and regulations
- Work with the Portfolio Manager on go live planning and preparation, compliance, best practices, client specific requirements, and processing timelines
- Prepare appropriate handover documentation prior to go live/during go live
- Process first payrun, iron any outstanding matters and respond to any queries the team may have in a timely manner
- Build and develop relationships with clients to ensure trust as an outsourced partner
- Liaising with clients on the phone, via email and at times, in person.
- Awareness and compliance of information security policies of the organisation relevant to your business role and contribute to risk assessment where required
- Take action to prevent an information security incident from occurring or escalating, where possible, and report any actual or potential security breaches
Who you are To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring: 3+ years payroll processing experience (Implementations experience highly desirable)
- Sound knowledge of current legislative payroll requirements in Australia (Desirable to have exposure to other payroll softwares and accounting platforms, to therefore have an understanding of different system configurations)
- Client-facing and/or outsourced payroll experience is highly regarded
- Ability to manage multiple clients to meet critical deadlines
- Strong project management skills
- High level of written and verbal communication
- Maintain and promote positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to produce quality interactions and results
- A high level of attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast paced, autonomous and process driven environment
