Salary: £45,000–£55,000 per annum
Security Clearance: SC (NPPV3 a Bonus)
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Remote (occasional travel to London, max once per month)

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise-level IT systems across on-premise, private, and public cloud environments. This is a hands-on technical role focused on incident resolution, infrastructure support, and the delivery of robust cloud and infrastructure services.
You will work closely with project and support teams to maintain system reliability, security, and performance, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert support and troubleshooting for incidents and major incidents escalated from the Service Desk.
- Investigate and resolve root causes of recurring issues, developing permanent fixes or effective workarounds.
- Support IT services to ensure availability, security, and integrity of business-critical systems.
- Implement changes in line with agreed change control processes.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth transition of new services into operations.
- Monitor and manage incidents via ITSM tools, ensuring professional and informative communication.
- Contribute to the development and application of IT standards and best practices.
Technical Skills & ExperienceCloud & Infrastructure:
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Entra ID / Identity Management)
- AWS
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
Operating Systems & Platforms:
- Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022 (DNS, DHCP, IIS, NPS, RDS, DFS, GPO)
- Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Microsoft System Centre (SCOM)
Additional Requirements:
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative technical team.
