Remote Bookkeeper

Beech Valley Solutions is seeking a dependable Bookkeeper to support day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple small business clients. This contract role focuses on maintaining accurate, current books through transaction coding, reconciliations, and clear account documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple sets of books independently in a fully remote environment.

What You’ll Do

• Categorize and code transactions in QuickBooks Online across multiple small business accounts
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain clean, well-documented, and up-to-date general ledgers
• Track month-end progress and provide clear status updates on account health and open items
• Identify and flag unusual activity, missing documentation, or potential errors for review
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across all assigned client accounts

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online bookkeeping or similar software
• Must be QBO Certified or other ERP certification
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients or accounts simultaneously
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting small business or outsourced accounting clients
• Familiarity with month-end close workflows
• Comfort documenting processes and maintaining clear audit trails
