We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Regional Manager for Asia to join us as soon as possible.

Job Title: Regional Manager, Asia

Reports to: Group Sales and Marketing Director

Location: Hong Kong preferred, other locations within East Asia will be considered.

Contract Type: Contractor

Salary: Competitive

The Abbey DLD Group of Colleges (ADLD) consists of three independent sixth form colleges located in Cambridge, London, and Manchester, offering a wide range of academic study programmes.

Overview of the Role

We are looking for a Regional Manager to join our team. The right candidate for this role needs to have experience of recruiting international student from across Asia and should have a background in working with agents as well as in direct student recruitment. Responsible for ensuring student recruitment targets for this region are achieved. the Regional Manager needs to be able to identify and successfully implement creative recruitment initiatives in a competitive market. An in-depth understanding of the market, established relationships with the agents’ network, and experience of recruiting students for UK boarding schools is therefore essential for this role.

The role is remote, so we are looking for someone who can manage their time effectively and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve recruitment targets for all 3 Abbey DLD Colleges.
  • Build and execute an annual regional sales strategy that encompasses both agent and direct recruitment.
  • Work pro-actively, generating innovative ideas that deliver growth. 
  • Establishing strong relationships with existing agents and develop new agent relationships across the region.
  • Deliver superior customer service to agents, parents, students and internal stakeholders.
  • Day-to-day management of agents and student enquiries across the entire region – ensuring conversion from enquiry through to enrolment.
  • Regularly travel to visit agents and represent Abbey DLD at fairs across the region.
  • Support the marketing team to ensure a strong direct presence in the region through online campaigns, school partnerships and referrals.
  • Manage all direct enquiries, ensuring leads are verified, followed up, and converted to applications in line with existing SLA’s.
  • Regularly feedback to senior management via sales reports and international sales meetings engagement.

Skills Required

  • Results oriented, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Experience of the international student recruitment, from Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Excellent sales management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A true problem solver with strong organisation and time management skills
  • Able to introduce creative market leading initiatives.
  • Proactive, able to create sales opportunities.
  • Solutions focused, able to identify and remove sales barriers.
  • Fluent in English, a second language would be an advantage (preferably Cantonese)
  • Trustworthy, with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Passionate about the Abbey DLD product offering.
