The application, named Mylow Companion, is specifically designed for sales floor devices, providing associates with immediate access to comprehensive product information, project guidance, and stock levels. This innovative tool leverages generative AI to enhance the skills of associates, regardless of their experience or department within Lowe’s.

Wide Implementation

Lowe’s has rolled out Mylow Companion to thousands of retail staff across its 1,700+ stores. According to Seemantini Godbole, Lowe’s Chief Digital and Information Officer, “Mylow Companion is another example of Lowe’s living out its commitment to elevate the customer and associate experience. Whether associates have been on the job for five weeks or five years, they can be confident they’re delivering expert-level advice and assistance.”

Technological Synergy

Mylow Companion shares its technological framework with Mylow, a virtual advisor for customers that Lowe’s launched earlier this year. Both tools were developed in collaboration with OpenAI, integrating Lowe’s insights to provide timely and accurate information for both customers and associates.

User-Friendly Interaction

Associates can interact with Mylow Companion using natural language prompts, including voice-to-text features that allow for faster and hands-free operation. OpenAI's COO, Brad Lightcap, emphasized the collaboration, stating, “AI is making it faster and easier for their associates to help customers find exactly what they need for their most important projects.”
