Financial Relief for Utility Customers
With discussions of SNAP benefits possibly being suspended on November 1, the City of Duncan's Utilities Customer Service has introduced an additional option to help maintain service connections for residents.
Key Support Measures
Utilities Customer Service Director Brandon Allbritton emphasized the department's commitment: "For customers experiencing financial hardship, we want to ensure they know they have four extensions available per year. In light of the potential pause in food assistance benefits, city leadership has decided to permit a fifth extension for the month of November, offering extra breathing room when it's most needed."
Additional Assistance Resources
City Manager Chris Deal highlighted that the city can connect individuals with local help organizations that may assist with bill payments. The customer service team is ready to provide this information to those in need.
Community Support Options
Moreover, if community members wish to help a neighbor in need, they can make a payment towards someone's utility bill. This can be done anonymously by providing the customer's name and address or account number.
Contact Information
For more details, residents are encouraged to call 580-252-0250 during regular business hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
