Job Summary Promotional Marketing Account roles at AOR are responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that drive brand growth and engagement across both traditional and digital channels. These roles bridge the gap between clients and creative teams, overseeing integrated campaigns, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring every initiative aligns with client objectives. Success comes from combining strategic insight, digital campaign management, data-driven decision making, and a commitment to elevating client brands through comprehensive promotional and digital marketing efforts. The Account Director I is responsible for developing, maintaining, and assessing key client accounts, cultivating strong professional relationships, and driving strategic account growth. This role designs and implements targeted strategies and action plans tailored to client objectives, acting as a trusted advisor while ensuring service delivery meets the highest standards. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term, favorable relationships with clients and partners across a diverse portfolio.
  • Gather, analyze, and report on client and partner information to inform strategic decisions and recommendations.
  • Craft customized strategies and recommendations based on both internal capabilities and external market factors.
  • Design and implement actionable account plans that fulfill client needs, maximize account performance, and drive measurable growth.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients at all stages, ensuring full transparency, satisfaction, and the opportunity to identify emerging needs.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members; act as a lead or first-level supervisor as needed, supporting both professional development and team cohesion.
  • Address complex issues and problems independently; escalate only the most critical matters to senior leadership.
  • Monitor and report on budgets, timelines, and KPIs relevant to client accounts and internal success metrics.
  • Collaborate regularly with senior client stakeholders, creative teams, and internal project managers to ensure seamless, coordinated delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive subject matter expertise on industry trends, products, and competitor activity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a closely related field.
  • Typically requires 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in account management, sales, or agency/client relations, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of account management practices, client strategy, and industry dynamics.
  • Strong customer and client orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Originality and strategic thinking in developing client solutions.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assess complex business needs and design actionable solutions.
