What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Manage incoming referrals and schedule appointments for a clinical department in a call center environment
- Navigate multiple systems to schedule appointments, tests, and procedures according to established protocols
- Engage patients in the scheduling process, collecting and entering relevant demographic and medical information into the electronic health record
- Create and manage referrals in the referral work queue, ensuring timely updates according to organization guidelines
- Communicate effectively with patients, facilities, providers, and colleagues through various channels to ensure a positive patient experience
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of five years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a call center, physician's office, or retail/service industry
- Strong keyboarding and computer skills
- Ability to manage difficult situations, remain calm under stress, and display empathy
- Proven effectiveness in a team environment
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Call center experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree accepted in lieu of minimum experience
