What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide excellent customer service through heavy phone contact with policyholders, providers, and interested third parties
  • Process policyholder requests received via correspondence, phone calls, and emails
  • Review and maintain procedures regarding policy information
  • Maintain department standards for call volume and time management
  • Assist with claim payments and provide information about policy coverage and status

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • At least one year of office experience preferred; telecommunications experience is a plus
  • Background in life and health insurance, with knowledge of insurance operations desired
  • Strong customer service background and excellent phone skills
  • Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in a customer service role within the insurance industry
  • Familiarity with insurance operations and policy procedures
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) for potential pay differential
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to handle high-stress situations
  • Demonstrated mathematical abilities and strong decision-making skills
