Product Manager (Settlements and Reconciliations) | UK Remote | Full-Time

Peaple Talent have exclusively partnered with an exciting FinTech looking to recruit for a Product Manager in the Settlements and Reconciliations space.

Our client is looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Product Manager with deep expertise in settlements and reconciliations within the asset management or transfer agency environment.

In this role, you’ll lead the evolution of their product suite, designing strategy, shaping delivery, and implementing modern, efficient processes inspired by your prior industry experience.

You’ll be balancing multiple priorities, collaborating with a wide range of teams, and presenting ideas and updated to both internal stakeholders and external partners. Key Responsibilities:

• Define and refine the strategic direction of the settlements and reconciliations product line, creating a clear roadmap that supports business goals and market opportunities.
• Continuously assess client and operational needs to identify areas for innovation and process improvement.
• Work closely with colleagues across business, technology, and operations to translate requirements into actionable plans.
• Maintain consistent communication across teams, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring that milestones are met and resources are effectively managed.
• Use tools such as JIRA and Confluence to track progress, manage workflows, and maintain documentation.
• Operate autonomously to deliver on objectives while fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success.
• Apply agile principles to encourage adaptability, iteration, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Assess priorities based on strategic value, business impact and operational dependencies.
• Proactively identify risks or issues, escalating to leadership where appropriate to maintain momentum.

Key Experience Required:

• Strong background in asset management and/or transfer agency operations, with detailed understanding of settlements and reconciliations processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of:
• General ledger accounting principles.
• End-to-end trade lifecycle management.
• Domestic and international payment channels (e.g. SWIFT ISO20022, FPS, SEPA, BACS)
• Client money reconciliations and related regulatory reporting.
• Working familiarity with financial regulations such as CASS, COLL, COBS, and Consumer Duty.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex initiatives to completion under tight timelines.
• Skilled in using JIRA and Confluence, with practical exposure to agile delivery frameworks.
• Excellent in communication and presentation abilities, capable of simplifying complex topics for varied audiences.
• Self-driven, organised, and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities independently.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making capabilities with a solutions-focused mindset.
