JOB TITLE: Regional Retail Account Manager
Reports To: Retail Marketing Manager
I. SUMMARY:
The National Mango Board (NMB) has an exciting employment opportunity for a Regional Retail Account Manager to cover the South and West regions, with the following characteristics: relationship builder, high-level of responsibility, and exceptional work ethic. Under the administrative guidance and direction of the Retail Marketing Manager, the Regional Retail Account Manager will use their retail and marketing experience to develop annual and quarterly retail promotional programs aligned with business goals for each retail and wholesale account within their assigned region(s). The Regional Retail Account Manager will perform a range of duties to create and execute retail programs that support the NMB strategies and support their retail partners’ mango initiatives, including merchandising and promotional programs. This is a full-time remote position, which will require travel to the NMB’s Orlando office as well as to retail account meetings, trade shows, and NMB Board meetings.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

The ideal candidate will:
· Develop annual and quarterly promotion strategies aligned with business goals for each key account and aligned with NMB goals, in collaboration with the Retail Marketing Manager, other NMB internal team members, and external partners.
· Utilize tools provided by the NMB and other resources to educate retailers on the NMB mission and help build their mango business.
· Build and maintain relationships with national, mid-size, and small/independent retailers in the South and West regions, as well as other assigned retail accounts, including the primary produce contact as well as fresh cut fruit, Retail Dietitians and the marketing teams. This may be done through face-to-face meetings and phone/email follow-up engagement with the assigned retailers, as well as participation in retail expos/seminars as needed.
· Work within the promotional budget allocated to your territories, negotiate and arrange retail promotions to effectively increase mango unit (volume) movement with these retailers throughout the year.
· Secure fulfillment (proof of performance) from the retailers in a timely manner, conduct follow-up and analysis of completed promotions, and submit to the NMB for payment based on the NMB financial schedule.
· Monitor program effectiveness using sales data and engagement metrics, where applicable, to optimize strategies based on performance and feedback. Provide regular reporting and analysis to the Retail Program Manager and other internal stakeholders.
· Provide call reports and updates to the NMB in a timely manner via Salesforce, as well as written and/or verbal updates to Retail Marketing Manager as requested.
· Participate in NMB team Zoom meetings and conference calls, attend Board meetings in person, and NMB planning meeting(s) as necessary.
· Attend trade shows (e.g. IFPA, Viva Fresh, West Coast Expo, etc.) and industry outreach meetings.
· Perform other related duties as needed.
III. QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES: EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related area of study. Minimum of seven years of varied retail and/or marketing experience. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; English composition, grammar, punctuation, and basic writing methods, work organization, and project management techniques; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Access, Outlook. Teams). Experience with reviewing and analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI/Circana, SPINS, 84.51) as well as store level point-of-sale data; Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems such as Salesforce.
Desirable: Experience with other Commodity Boards and/or not-for-profit organizations is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Knowledge of: Basic statistics used in operational reporting and presentations; file management and record keeping.
Skills: Create excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations; demonstrate proficiency in using computer hardware and software, spreadsheets, and graphics; ability to research information needed to complete projects.

V. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Finger dexterity is required to operate computer hardware and office equipment. The employee is frequently required to sit and to occasionally stand and walk to access office areas and meeting locations. The employee occasionally lifts and carries reports, files, and records, typically weighing less than 10 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Other sensory demands include hearing and speaking with others.
VI. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
VII. MENTAL DEMANDS:
Interact effectively with the NMB staff, the Board at large, committee members, industry representatives, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
VIII. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel up to 50%, including 6x per year to the NMB’s office in Orlando, FL.
