Our global software client is seeking an experienced Product Localisation Manager to lead the end-to-end localisation of product user interfaces across a suite of SaaS offerings. This role sits within their Product Localisation and Internationalisation team, which ensures their products are accessible to users worldwide in over 20 languages.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and maintain continuous delivery of product localisation across 20 supported languages.
- Collaborate closely with external language and linguistic quality assurance (LQA) vendors to ensure timely, high-quality localisation delivery, while driving ongoing process improvements.
- Leverage Translation Management Systems (TMS) and custom integrations to oversee multiple localisation projects simultaneously.
- Facilitate resolution of linguistic queries and contextual challenges between internal product teams and external vendors.
- Coordinate with marketing localisation teams to ensure consistency in terminology, brand voice, and tone across all localisable content.
- Prioritise and resolve localisation issues reported by internal stakeholders and customers, in partnership with internal teams and vendor partners.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in localisation and multilingual project/program management.
- Strong understanding of localisation and LQA processes, with hands-on experience managing projects via TMS platforms—experience with Smartling is highly desirable.
- Proven experience localising software and product UI strings.
- Technical proficiency in HTML/CSS and familiarity with software platforms, programming languages, and file types. Experience working with code repositories is a plus.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in one or more foreign languages.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and listening skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Passion for delivering exceptional international customer experiences.
- A team-first attitude and a desire to contribute to collective success.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with clear objectives and key results.
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project and team collaboration.
About the Team
The Product Localisation team’s mission is to unlock the potential of customer teams globally, regardless of language or location. They work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and external language service providers to deliver products in over 20 languages. The team is distributed across Australia, the United States, and Europe.
This is a contract position, and you must have full working rights in Australia to be considered for this role. You need to be based in NSW, however you can choose to be based in the office or work remotely.
