About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Product Operations Release Manager to join our growing Product and Engineering team. This role is critical to ensuring our product development processes run smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest quality.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross-functional teams to support day-to-day operations, manage tools like Jira, execute manual QA, and produce clear, thorough documentation and metrics that can support the business and our customers.
Key Responsibilities_Manual QA and Product Testing:_
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing of new features and bug fixes across our web platforms.
- Identify, document, and track issues/bugs using Jira.
- Collaborate with Engineers and Product to ensure resolutions meet acceptance criteria.
Release Planning:
- Assist in planning and managing release and deployment activities for projects and ongoing changes, ensuring adherence to company policies and timelines.
- Develop and manage acceptance criteria for new products, guaranteeing all necessary tests are completed successfully before going live.
- Monitor risks associated with each release, communicate potential impacts to the business, and collaborate with teams to mitigate any issues.
Project Management
- Assist the Technical Lead and Product Manager in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure on-time delivery.
- Implement and track metrics to track team performance and recommend improvements.
- Develop dashboards and monitoring information to support ongoing monitoring of team performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional team communication and deliverables to remove blockers and align on priorities.
Jira Tool Management
- Maintain and optimise Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, and filters.
- Create and manage tickets for new features, tasks, and bugs.
- Support product and engineering teams with Jira best practices and troubleshooting
Operational Documentation
- Create and maintain product documentation including PRDs, user stories, and release notes.
- Document workflows and business logic with clarity and accuracy.
- Ensure customer-facing IT onboarding documentation is up-to-date and accessible for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in product operations, QA, product lifecycle management, or project management roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of agile software development processes.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A passion for working in the public sector and for Invision360’s mission and values.
Nice to Have
- Experience conducting manual QA testing in an agile environment, finding edge cases and converting this into development tickets.
- Familiarity with BI tools and dashboard development.
- Knowledge or, or a keen interest, in SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) services.
- Familiarity with automation QA or scripting languages.
- Background in SaaS or B2B tech environments.
