My client is a market leader in the aviation software sector, and they are currently looking to add to their sales team with an Account Manager as the primary post-sale contact for customers, responsible for ensuring long-term success, retention, and expansion. This role builds trusted relationships with key stakeholders, understands customer goals and pain points, and serves as a strategic advisor to drive value through their solutions. This is a remote role and can be based anywhere within Australia or New Zealand and will involve some travel thorughout APAC.
The Account Manager works cross-functionally with Product, Support, Professional Services, and Marketing to ensure seamless delivery, engagement, and upsell opportunities across the customer lifecycle. Success in this role means driving renewals, increasing product adoption, and identifying expansion paths while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. AI will play a central role in improving account insights, personalising outreach, and streamlining reporting — enabling Account Managers to work smarter and deepen customer engagement at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
·Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring strategic alignment and operational success.
·Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and proactive outreach to reinforce value and address concerns.
·Develop account plans to track customer goals, success criteria, and expansion opportunities.
·Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities; collaborate with new business sales on proposals and closing strategy.
·Drive timely contract renewals, including discussions around terms, pricing, and usage.
·Use AI-powered tools to analyse account health, identify risk signals, and prioritise engagement.
·Personalise customer communications and value messaging with the help of AI-generated insights and content.
·Understand customer business models, use cases, and operational challenges in detail.
·Arrange product demos, onboarding sessions, and training tailored to customer needs.
·Partner with internal teams to relay customer feedback and influence roadmap decisions.
·Maintain accurate records of customer activity, health, and pipeline within CRM (HubSpot).
·Provide timely reporting on account status, expansion pipeline, and risk indicators.
The Person:
·3–5 years of experience in Account Management or Customer Success, with experience upselling and cross selling into existing accounts.
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
·Proven ability to manage a book of business, retain clients, and drive revenue growth.
·Experience managing accounts within aviation would be fantastic, but we're happy to consider saas sales, ideally safety or operational modules such as within construction, energy or transportation, but any strong saas or aviation sales experience would be considered.
·You'll be comfortable managing contract and pricing conversations.
·High attention to detail, organisation, and follow-through.
·Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment.
·Willingness to occasionally travel or work flexible hours for international clients and events.
