Job Description

Posted on: May 27, 2026

At Go1, we’re on a mission to help organizations deliver learning and development in more relevant, timely, and effective ways. From a small startup to now a global brand - we’ve grown by solving hard problems, embracing ambiguity, and never standing still. If you thrive on change, get energy from big, complex challenges, and are excited to grow fast alongside smart, ambitious people, then Go1 might be exactly what you’re looking for. We offer autonomy with accountability, space to experiment, and the opportunity to shape solutions that impact millions of learners worldwide. We don’t have all the answers — and that’s the point. We figure it out together. Every line of code, every conversation, every bold idea helps move us closer to our mission: to enable individuals, organizations, and society to progress. There’s still so much to build — and even more to discover. Go there with us... We're looking for a Product Manager to own search and recommendations at Go1 — the systems that determine whether the right learning reaches the right person at the right time. Today, the burden of relevance sits with the L&D admin. They log in, they search, they scroll. Admins curate manually because the system can't confidently match content to their context. Your job is to flip that. You'll make our search and recommendation systems meaningfully smarter and more personal - so the platform does the heavy lifting instead of the human. Where Go1 Is At We bring together high-quality learning content and make it simple for teams to discover, manage, and deliver learning across their organization. Our customers use Go1 to support personalized employee development, meet compliance needs, and keep skills up to date. Go1 supports millions of learners around the world. As AI reshapes the content landscape, the value is no longer in having more courses, it’s in knowing what learning is needed in the moment it matters. Discovery, personalization, and intelligence are becoming the differentiator. This role sits at the heart of that shift. You'll Own

  • Search models and ranking: Running rapid experiments on search relevance and ranking, measuring impact, and iterating fast
  • Learner and admin recommendations: evolving our recommendation models beyond basic enrolment signals that makes results unique to the person searching
  • Content preferences: building the preference and behavioural modelling that makes personalisation possible
  • Search experience and API: Shipping improvements to discovery experiences across standalone, embedded, and API-based surfaces
  • AI-assisted discovery: Designing AI-assisted discovery workflows that reduce the curation burden on admins
  • Search via API: ensuring search quality extends to our partner and API-based experiences

This is not a polish-the-UI role. You'll work at the intersection of product and data science — experimenting with ranking logic, designing feedback loops, and shipping measurable improvements to how the system understands what's relevant. You'll need to be comfortable working with embedding models, semantic search, and recommendation algorithms — not as the person writing the code, but as the person who understands why one approach works better than another and can make sharp product decisions about model trade-offs. We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about this space. If you light up talking about retrieval strategies, re-ranking experiments, or how to bootstrap personalisation from sparse signals - that's the energy we want. About You

  • You're early on in your PM career: But have proven experience with both strategy and execution.
  • Passionate about search and discovery systems: You get excited about embedding models, semantic search, ranking algorithms, and recommendation systems. You follow developments in this space because you find it genuinely interesting — not because the JD told you to.
  • Data-driven but not data-paralysed: You know what good measurement looks like, but you don't wait for perfect instrumentation before shipping. You can be scrappy about measurement, transparent about what signals you're tracking, and vocal about what's working and what isn't.
  • You bring energy to execution You drive delivery with urgency and don't wait for others to set the pace. You're comfortable pushing a team to move faster while keeping the work focused on what matters most.
  • Systems-thinker: You care about feedback loops, signal quality, and how improving one part of the system compounds across others — not just shipping the next UI change.
  • AI-fluent: You understand the difference between traditional ML and LLM-based approaches. You know how to work with probabilistic systems and can reason about when to use which approach.
  • Open by design: You naturally communicate your work, your experiments, and your outcomes broadly. You build confidence in the team's direction through transparency and tempo, not just through results.

Join our team at Go1 and be at the forefront of transforming education through innovative learning solutions. Together, we can change the world. One learner at time.Benefits At Go1, our employee benefits extend far beyond a pay cheque, ensuring our team feels supported, valued, and empowered to bring their best selves to work each day, driving our mission to unlock positive potential through a love of learning.

  • In addition to your base salary: Annual bonus or commission plan.
  • Employee Stock Option Plan: Opportunity to share directly in our success through stock options.
  • Public Holiday Swap: Swap a public holiday for another preferred day.
  • Flexible Working: We are a fully remote organisation with team events and travel throughout the year.
  • Wellbeing & Learning Days: An additional five days of paid leave per year.
  • Learning Budget: $500 USD per financial year, plus access to additional Career Growth Budget.
  • WFH/Transport Budget: Monthly allowance for internet/phone expenses or public transport.
  • Home Office Setup Budget: One-off allowance for desk, chair and/or monitor.
  • Parental Leave: Minimum of 18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers + 6 weeks paid parental leave for secondary carers.
  • Wellbeing Support: Access to counselling and wellbeing app via Nilo Health.
