Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a National Account Manager, located in Melbourne reporting to the General Manager based in New Zealand. The National Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. The role involves negotiating contracts, coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, and staying updated on market trends to provide innovative solutions to clients. National travel is required and occasional travel to head office in New Zealand.

Qualifications

  • Account management and sales skills, with experience in developing and executing strategic sales plans
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyse market trends and identify new business opportunities
  • Experience in the Food or similar industries is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is of advantage
  • Ability to work remotely and independently and manage multiple accounts effectively

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food safety procedures in our BRC-certified business.
  • Assist with onboarding of new clients, including coordination with internal teams to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain detailed notes and updates on all customer interactions in CRM to enable transparency across the business.
  • Work effectively in a remote setting, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and strong communication skills.
  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships that go beyond transactional relationships.
