We’re working with a global leader in payment and automation solutions, currently looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in their bulk processing division. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual with experience in complex B2B solution sales.
Initially focusing on the UK and Ireland, the role offers scope to expand across the wider European market as your experience with the solutions and client base develops.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and providing tailored solutions to meet the operational needs of high-value clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Delivering solution-led sales across deals typically ranging from £500k to £2M+
- Presenting technical and commercial proposals that meet customer requirements
- Building long-term client relationships to maximize future opportunities
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and technical teams to deliver on sales strategy
- Expanding market coverage across Europe in the mid-to-long term
Your Profile
We're looking for someone with:
Essential:
- 5+ years in B2B sales, ideally in automation, logistics, cash handling sectors but any bulk processing industry would be interesting.
- Proven success in high-value, consultative solution sales
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Competence with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
Desirable:
- Experience working with CIT operators, central banks, or cash centers
- Technical understanding of electromechanical systems and ability to translate specifications into commercial offerings
- Exposure to multi-region sales processes across European markets
