Ronald Edward Haley, born on April 27, 1953, in Washington, D.C., peacefully passed away on October 23, 2024. Known affectionately as Ron, he grew up in a loving Christian home filled with joy and family gatherings. He pursued his education in the D.C. Public Schools and later earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the Catholic University of America.
Family and Career
Ron was a proud father of two, Ron and Angelique, who carry on his legacy of family values and education. His strong work ethic was evident in his long tenure at FedEx, where he served as a Senior Customer Service Agent from 1984 until his passing. Colleagues admired him for his exemplary work ethic and supportive nature. In addition to his role at FedEx, Ron also founded R&H Hauling and Distribution Services, partnering with family to deliver newspapers and connect communities with news.
Community Impact
Ron made significant contributions to his community, especially in supporting the homeless and unemployed. His generosity knew no bounds; he often went out of his way to help family and friends, including buying vehicles at auction to give away. He is survived by his two children, three grandchildren, and a large extended family, all of whom cherish his memory.
