Meet Franck Beaumin: NJ TRANSIT's New Customer Advocate with Global Expertise


New Hire Announcement
On October 14, 2024, the NJ TRANSIT Board of Directors announced the appointment of Franck Beaumin as the agency’s Customer Advocate. Bringing an international background in mass transit, Beaumin's experience spans from bus rapid transit (BRT) in Bangladesh to overseeing customer communications with Keolis Commuter Services in the Greater Boston area.

NJDOT Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chair Fran O’Connor expressed excitement about Beaumin's appointment, emphasizing the importance of his role in advocating for customers. NJ TRANSIT Board member Shanti Narra also praised Beaumin’s unique, customer-focused perspective gained from his transit experiences in Europe and Boston.
Beaumin's Vision
In his own words, Beaumin stated, "I am honored to become the new Customer Advocate for NJ TRANSIT. I look forward to engaging with our customers and working with the operational teams to improve the passenger experience at every stage of the journey."
Educational Background
Born and raised in France, Beaumin holds a law degree in Public Law and two master’s degrees focusing on Urban Networks in Developing Countries and Planning Policies.
Professional Journey
- Consultant for a $500 million BRT project in Bangladesh, where he coordinated a 15-member team.
- Worked at Keolis in Paris as a Customer Service Project Manager, launching client communication and passenger information platforms.
- In the U.S., he served as Passenger Communications Manager at the MBTA in Boston, leading a 30-member team to provide real-time information to customers and improving the customer feedback resolution process.
