Louisiana DCFS Introduces New Customer Service Hotline
The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has launched a new customer service number designed to make it easier for residents to access assistance. This initiative aims to streamline communication and provide better support for families across the state.
Key Details of the New Service Line
Residents can now call 877-7LADCFS (877-752-3237) for various services, including:
- Child support services
- Child welfare assistance
- Other DCFS inquiries
The line is operational from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Important Correction
UPDATE: DCFS has issued a correction stating the number will be in service starting April 15, 2026.
Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline Remains Unchanged
It's important to note that the Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline continues to operate 24/7 at 855-4LA-KIDS (855-452-5437). Officials emphasize that suspected abuse or neglect should always be reported to this dedicated hotline.
