Choctaw Nation Cultural Center Wins 2025 Excellence in Customer Service Award
At the 27th Annual American Indigenous Tourism Conference, the Choctaw Nation Cultural Center achieved a significant milestone by winning the 2025 Excellence in Customer Service Award. This recognition highlights the center's commitment to exceptional hospitality, which is deeply rooted in Choctaw culture.
A Proud Moment for the Choctaw Nation
The conference took place in Choctaw, Mississippi, on the tribe's native lands, making the award even more meaningful. Cheyhoma Dugger, the Director of Development for the Choctaw Cultural Center, expressed immense pride in this achievement.
"To get to go back to our home and receive this award among other tribes, among our own people, was so special and significant. And it’s something we take pride in," said Dugger.
Why This Award Matters
This is the first customer service award the tribe has received at this conference, despite having won other honors in the past. The award underscores the importance of hospitality as a core value in Choctaw culture, demonstrating how cultural heritage can enhance customer service excellence.
The Excellence in Customer Service Award not only celebrates the center's efforts but also serves as an inspiration for other organizations to integrate cultural values into their service practices.
