General Motors Korea has once again proven its commitment to customer satisfaction, ranking first in the Automobile Aftersales Service category of the Korea Service Quality Index (KSQI) for the eighth consecutive year. This remarkable achievement highlights the company's dedication to delivering exceptional service through its nationwide network of service centers and ongoing training programs.
The 2026 KSQI Customer Contact Point Survey, conducted by Korea Management Association Consulting, evaluated 132 companies across 32 industries on the quality of face-to-face customer interactions. GM Korea scored 93 points overall, topping the automobile aftersales category with the highest marks in staff grooming, service attitude, proactiveness, and tone and word choice.
The survey used a "Mystery Survey" method, similar to a mystery-shopper evaluation, where assessors visited service locations without identifying themselves to gauge real customer experiences. GM Korea's consistent, accessible service across its nationwide network contributed to its top ranking.
To celebrate this achievement, GM Korea held a ceremony at its headquarters in Bupyeong, Incheon. Attendees included GM Korea President Hector Villarreal, who stated: "Achieving the number one ranking for eight consecutive years is a clear example of GM delivering on its commitment to putting customers first in Korea."
GM Korea's success is rooted in its ongoing training for frontline staff and development of technical expertise in maintenance and diagnostics for electric vehicles, preparing for the electric vehicle era. The company also operates a Chevrolet maintenance reservation call center and premium services like vehicle pickup and delivery and express service to reduce customer travel and wait times.
These efforts also earned GM Korea recognition in May as an Excellent Call Center in the KSQI's call center category for the 23rd consecutive year.
Since 2002, GM has operated production and sales businesses in Korea, opening an engineering center in 2019. The automaker employs about 12,000 people in Korea and sold 15,094 vehicles domestically in 2025 while exporting 447,216 finished vehicles worldwide.
