Encore AI, formerly known as Insait, has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round led by Team8 and Plaven, with participation from Garage, Lukatz, and several global financial institutions that became customers before investing. The company analyzes millions of customer interactions to identify the behaviors and work patterns of top-performing employees and transforms them into autonomous AI agents or a real-time "Wingman" assistant that supports human representatives during live conversations.
What Does Encore AI Do?
Encore AI's platform uses patented Interaction Mining technology to analyze phone calls, chats, emails, landing pages, and CRM data across sales, collections, customer service, and support. It identifies the practices that consistently produce the best outcomes and creates AI agents that can handle interactions naturally and personally.
"We focus on every interaction a customer has with an organization. We analyze how service representatives perform those interactions today and use that knowledge to create AI agents that deliver a better customer experience." — Dr. Dvir Ginzburg, CEO and co-founder
Why This Matters for Customer Service Jobs
This technology aims to enhance rather than replace human workers. By providing a "Wingman" assistant that offers real-time suggestions during live conversations, Encore AI helps customer service reps improve their performance. The autonomous AI agents can handle routine tasks, freeing up human agents to focus on complex issues that require empathy and judgment.
The Technology Behind It
Founded in 2022 by Dr. Dvir Ginzburg, an AI entrepreneur and researcher with a Ph.D. in Geometric Deep Learning from Tel Aviv University, the platform combines structured numerical data with voice and text for a unified understanding of the customer. This allows AI agents to communicate naturally and personally.
Investors and Customers
Notably, many investors in this round are also customers, including Harel, Bank Leumi, and Garage. This reflects the value they're already getting from the platform. Encore primarily serves banks, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and other organizations where customer interactions directly affect business performance.
Global Presence and Future Plans
Encore currently employs around 50 people, with 35 in Israel and the rest in New York and Australia. Its platform is deployed at more than 30 organizations across Israel, Australia, Europe, and the United States. The new funding will be used to expand deployments among enterprise customers worldwide, accelerate product development, and grow commercial operations.
