The City of Edmond Dispatch has received reports from residents about fraudulent payment requests being made from Edmond Electric's main phone number, 405-216-7660. Edmond Utility Customer Service is the only department authorized to collect payments for Edmond Electric, and they will never call from this number to request payment.
Be aware that scammers may pose as utility representatives, threatening to shut off your electricity unless immediate payment is made. Edmond Utility Customer Service will never ask for payment in the form of crypto, gift cards, or peer-to-peer apps. If you receive such a call, disregard it immediately.
