Discover Montgomery Parks' Exciting Winter 2025 Park Academy Series for All Ages!

WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks is thrilled to announce its Winter 2025 Park Academy Series, featuring a variety of fitness, wellness, and learning classes tailored for all ages and fitness levels across parks in the county.

“These classes make health and wellness available to everyone from toddlers to seniors and everyone in between,” said Anne Levis, program specialist at Montgomery Parks.

Class Offerings:

• POUND Fitness
  Dates: 1/08/25 – 2/12/25
  When: Wednesdays, 5 – 5:45 p.m.
  Location: Green Farm Maintenance Facility, 8301 Turkey Thicket Drive, Montgomery Village.
  Description: A drumming-inspired cardio workout using Ripstix’s lightly weighted drumsticks.
  Cost: $54

• Toddler & You Yoga (2 sessions)
  Dates: 12/5/24 – 2/13/25 and 1/04/25 – 3/01/25
  When: Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 p.m. and Saturdays, 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
  Location: Tilden Woods Local Park, 6800 Tilden Lane, Potomac and Quince Orchard Valley Neighborhood Park, 12015 Suffolk Terrace, Gaithersburg.
  Description: A fun class featuring dancing, singing, and yoga poses for toddlers.
  Cost: $120 (Potomac) and $96 (Gaithersburg)

• Balance and Mobility (2 sessions)
  Dates: 1/09/25 – 1/30/25 and 2/06/25 – 2/27/25
  When: Thursdays, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Location: Clarksburg Neighborhood Park, 22501 Wims Road, Clarksburg.
  Description: Focused on fitness and flexibility in a low-impact, energizing way.

  When: Saturdays, 10 – 11 a.m.

  Description: Viniyoga-inspired flow yoga focusing on breath and movement.

• Fitness Test for ages 55+ (2 sessions)

  Description: Senior fitness test measuring endurance, strength, and flexibility.

  Description: A creative class for children ages 11 – 13 to learn programming through robotics.
