Chino Hills City Hall has made a significant stride towards normalcy by reopening its doors with a new Customer Service Center in the main lobby and council chambers. This temporary setup ensures the continuation of essential services while the city undertakes remediation and recovery efforts from the June 30 computer fire and water damage.
Nicole Freeman, the city spokesperson, emphasized the city's dedication to uninterrupted community service, directing residents to chinohills.org for updates and online services. Despite the progress, full restoration is expected to span several months.
Available Services at the Customer Service Center:
- Utility billing and payments
- Code enforcement (including reporting concerns, yard sale permits, and sign violation invoices)
- Building and planning services (payments for applications, permits, and plan checks)
- Engineering services
- Passport services (by appointment only)
Payment methods are restricted to credit/debit cards, checks, or money orders, with cash not being accepted. Additionally, public restrooms remain unavailable, with the library across from City Hall serving as an alternative.
City council and commission meetings will continue as scheduled in the council chambers. For recreation services, the Chino Hills Community Center at 14250 Peyton Drive is open. Residents needing assistance with other services are encouraged to call City Hall at (909) 364-2600 to schedule an appointment.
