Job Description

Posted on: July 9, 2025

Our story Here at Third Space Learning, our mission is to ensure every student is able to access great quality online tutoring to help them succeed in, and love, their learning. For too long, tutoring has been the preserve of a fortunate minority. Since 2013, we're proud to have helped address that by working with 4,100 UK and US schools, providing 2.1 million cost-effective online one-to-one maths tutoring sessions to 170,000 students. Over the last 18 months, our academic and technical teams have been developing an AI maths tutor to make this kind of support even more scalable, flexible and affordable for schools. Feedback from schools is positive, and over 100 schools are already booked in to receive unlimited AI maths tutoring for their students from September 2025. What We're Looking For Email is one of our most important marketing channels as we've built a strong reputation for supporting teachers across the country with valuable free maths content, leading to a large global email marketing database of almost 200,000 engaged teachers and school leaders across the UK and US. We're looking for a passionate, data-driven, creative and analytical email marketer to take ownership of this key channel, driving engagement with our free content, building brand loyalty, converting teachers into leads and supporting our existing customers through their journey. Alongside this, you'll support our growing social presence, sharing stories and content that support and engage our community. This is an exciting time to take on this role as we expand our new AI tutoring offering across a large engaged marketing database. Responsibilities include:

  • Own, develop, and execute the day-to-day email marketing schedule and the always-on automated email plan
  • Repurpose email content into social posts to amplify reach and engagement
  • Support scheduling and light engagement across social platforms, ensuring our voice is consistent and responsive
  • Collaborate with the content, brand, sales, support and product teams to ensure we're sending the right content in the right way at the right time
  • Write compelling copy in line with our brand tone of voice to engage teachers, build an understanding of the support we can offer them and inspire them to take action
  • Recommend, plan and create additional content such as blogs, landing pages, social campaigns and case studies and oversee their distribution to our community
  • Hypothesise and implement tests to uncover insights and optimise our campaigns
  • Conduct weekly and monthly reporting and analysis on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance towards targets, including open rates, click to open rates and conversion rates
  • Regularly analyse and share insights with the other teams, including how prospects engage with content, what messaging is most effective, and what changes might need to be made to our strategy to increase our success
  • Maintain a keen understanding of the UK and US education landscape through social listening, monitoring prospect behaviour, researching competitors, surveying the database and conducting market research calls

While the role is centred around email marketing, you'll go beyond email to ensure our campaigns have maximum success. This means you'll regularly be:

  • Repurposing email content into social media posts
  • Writing blogs based on any insights gained from analysis/research
  • Creating, testing and optimising landing pages
  • Working with the Customer Support team to discover, develop and promote school success stories and user-generated content

RequirementsAll candidates must have...

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • A university degree or strong relevant experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in email marketing, communications, or working in/with schools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; this role requires somebody who can write clear and compelling copy that stands out in teachers' crowded inboxes and inspires action
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills; you'll be managing email sends to around 200,000 teachers across multiple segments and markets, so you'll need to make sure these are well-planned, well-coordinated, and free of errors
  • Confidence with data and analysis; including identifying patterns, trends and areas for improvements and translating these into actionable insights
  • Curiosity, creativity and passion to bring stories to life and drive optimisation through quantitative and qualitative insight
  • Initiative and a proactive nature; we're always keen to try new things and believe no new idea is a bad idea, as long as someone is passionate about it and ready to test their assumptions and learn along the way!

We'd also love to find someone with...

  • Experience with Email Marketing and CRM tools, especially Pardot and Intercom
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience working with the UK or US schools market

If you meet at least some of these criteria and think you are a good fit for the role then please apply. The above criteria act as a guide as to the sort of experience that would set someone up for success in this role, but we'd love to hear from you if you think you have what it takes, even if you don't tick every box. Just as we feel AI has the power to deliver effective and engaging tutoring, we believe AI can support candidates to prepare for this role. While we are happy for you to use AI to support your application and any subsequent interviews, please be prepared to share and discuss your process with us. Benefits

  • £32,000 - £35,000, depending on experience
  • Remote working with the opportunity to work from our London office when you wish
  • Personal development budget to be used for ongoing training and professional development
  • Work with a fun, curious, and ambitious team, passionate about having a social impact on the world
  • A role with immediate responsibility and the opportunity to grow your career in one of the fastest growing EdTech businesses in Europe as we transition to a new AI tutoring model
