Terranova Nutrition develops premium, science-led food supplements and sells them in around 30 markets through a network of distribution partners. We’re a small, close-knit team, and we’re looking for a Technical Affairs Manager to join our regulatory function.
About the role
You’ll work alongside our Regulatory Affairs Director to keep our portfolio compliant. You’ll also be the first point of contact for consumer questions. Your job is to make sure every consumer gets a correct, safe and friendly answer, that complaints and safety reports are recorded and escalated properly, and that our regulatory documentation is always in order.
What you’ll do
- Answer consumer questions about products, ingredients, allergens, use and storage, using approved information and claims
- Recognise questions that need medical advice (pregnancy, medication, children, illness) and refer consumers to a doctor or pharmacist
- Record complaints and possible adverse events, and escalate safety-related cases the same day
- Own and maintain the enquiry and complaint log, and report trends that can improve our labels, website and FAQs
- Build and maintain a library of approved consumer answers and FAQs
- Keep specifications, technical files, certificates and notification records organised and current
- Prepare notification files and track registration status and renewal dates across markets
- Prepare Free Sale Certificates and export document requests
- Review labels, translations, website texts and marketing materials for compliance before final regulatory approval
- Handle routine document requests from distributors and support colleagues in sales, marketing and customer service
- Follow regulatory news and summarise relevant changes
What we’re looking for
- Experience in regulatory affairs, technical or quality roles, or consumer care in food supplements, food, nutrition, cosmetics or pharma
- Working knowledge of UK/EU food supplement labelling and nutrition and health claims rules
- Excellent written English and a clear, friendly way of communicating with consumers
- Very organised and precise, with good judgement on when to escalate
- Comfortable working independently from home as part of a small international team
- A degree in nutrition, food science, life sciences, pharmacy or a related field is an advantage
What success looks like
- Consumer enquiries answered accurately within two working days
- Every complaint and possible adverse event logged, with safety cases escalated the same day
- Documentation and notification records complete and up to date
Why join us
- A varied role at the meeting point of science, compliance and customer care
- A product portfolio sold across around 30 international markets
- Fully remote within the UK
- A small team where your work is visible and makes a direct difference
