The role
The Training Developer Assistant supports the Training Developers in organizing and enhancing technology training and development materials for platform users. The assistant collaborates with product owners, Training Developers, and subject matter experts to gather necessary materials, update training documentation, and assist in delivering training sessions when needed. The role focuses on ensuring the smooth development and maintenance of training content, as well as providing logistical and administrative support for training activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of e-learning modules, instructional videos, user manuals, quick reference guides, and other training materials.
- Support the Training Developers in gathering training requirements and content from subject matter experts.
- Update training materials to reflect software updates, policy changes, and new features.
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, invitations, and material distribution.
- Assist in preparing and formatting training presentations and handouts.
- Provide technical and administrative support during virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Organize and maintain training documentation and archives.
- Assist in responding to inquiries related to training content and access.
- Support the development and maintenance of FAQs and knowledge base articles.
Skills and Experience required
- 1-3 years of experience in training content development or instructional support.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Communications, Education, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Basic knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to create and edit training materials, including manuals, presentations, and e-learning content.
- Experience with training users on proper use of software systems or standard operating procedures that include use of software
- Experience using Digital Interact is a plus
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools is a plus.
- Strong technical writing and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and basic graphic design software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with trainers and subject matter experts.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
