Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an IT Support Office (Entry / Junior Level) team member. The role involves providing first-level technical support for staff and learners, responding to help desk tickets, and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking. Daily tasks include troubleshooting desktop computer problems, assisting with account access and configuration, and guiding users through standard IT procedures. The IT Support team member will document support activities, escalate complex issues when needed, and contribute to maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment that supports TA Embedded’s online learning and content platforms.
Qualifications
- Strong technical support and help desk support skills, with the ability to assist users in a clear and patient manner.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common IT issues, including software errors, connectivity problems, and system performance.
- Hands-on experience with desktop computers, operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux), and basic hardware maintenance.
- Foundational knowledge of information technology concepts, such as user account management, security best practices, and network basics.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation and ticketing.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and follow established processes.
- Interest in embedded systems or technology education is beneficial; prior exposure to microcontrollers or programming is a plus.
- Relevant coursework, certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+), or equivalent practical experience in IT support or related fields.
