What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide exceptional patient service in person and via the Call Center
  • Interview patients to obtain accurate demographic, financial, and insurance information
  • Verify insurance and collect copays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances
  • Schedule future appointments and manage patient communication through various channels
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient experience

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Minimum 2-5 years of healthcare insurance experience; vision plan experience is a plus
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to collect payments accurately
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional appearance

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Familiarity with Medicare basics
