Job Description

Are you passionate about integration platforms and helping clients unlock the full potential of their software ecosystems? Patchworks is looking for a Consultant to join our Professional Services team, delivering a service that drives real business outcomes.
Who we are:
We are a leading iPaaS provider, dedicated to simplifying integration for the fast-growing retail industry. Our mission is to empower eCommerce businesses with seamless data integration, enabling them to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive significant growth. Having successfully supported over 400 brands, we take pride in our cutting-edge solutions that fuel business success.
What you’ll do:
As a Consultant, you will work with high-growth clients to define, build, and implement integration solutions that maximise the value of the Patchworks platform. You will provide expert advice, documentation, and guidance to enhance client outcomes, support professional services delivery, and strengthen our iPaaS model across multiple channels, including in-house teams, agency partners, and client self-serve environments.
This is a hands-on role where you will go beyond scoping solutions to actively implement them. This includes configuring, testing, and deploying integrations, while helping clients and partners fully leverage the platform.
- Apply best practice processes, documentation standards, and solution design methods to ensure high-quality consultancy outcomes.
- Analyse high-level business requirements and define integration solutions across a variety of 3rd party COTS SaaS platforms (ERP, POS, WMS, e-commerce), for the automated running of client ecosystems.
- Actively use and build on the Patchworks platform, acting as a pseudo-application engineer, directly configuring, testing, and implementing integrations. Experience with iPaaS platforms is highly desirable.
- Advocate for the Patchworks platform by aligning consultancy services with its capabilities and distinguishing between out-of-the-box features and customisable solutions.
- Promote iPaaS best practices and COTS approaches, ensuring business logic resides in the appropriate software layer.
- Collaborate and interact with partners, providing guidance, support in builds, and best practice recommendations.
- Contribute to a comprehensive professional services function, delivering billable consultancy to self-serve clients and agencies, while supporting continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Take ownership of integration solutions and act as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring solutions meet specifications and achieve the key client requirements.
- Work with technical and consultancy teams to produce thorough documentation such as business/systems architecture diagrams, epics and tasks for the use of in-house software engineers when implementing integration solutions.
- Understand client business processes and workflows, advising on operational best practices and the capabilities of third-party SaaS software.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements gathering workshops and general client engagement meetings
- Lead internal intake meetings, guide engineers through defined solutions, and coordinate cross-functional teams throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and adopted SaaS software, as well as AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini, incorporating them effectively into workflow processes.
What you’ll need:
- Strong industry awareness and proven ability to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Extensive integration experience across a range of e-commerce, ERP, POS, and WMS systems.
- Hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms and the ability to configure, test, and deploy integrations.
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or other workflow-enhancing AI/automation tools.
- Confident communicator with the ability to act as a bridge between clients, non-technical stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Practical experience in implementing solutions on the platform, bridging the gap between design and execution.
- Analytical, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and solution design.
- Ability to act decisively and effectively based on experience and expertise.
- Solid understanding and experience with Agile delivery methods, including Scrum and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at the director level.
- Up-to-date knowledge of SaaS software and industry trends.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
What you’ll get in return:
- A competitive salary & career progression at a leading eCommerce iPaaS company.
- Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with passionate professionals.
- An inclusive, supportive, "no questions are silly" working environment.
- Remote working with the option to work in any of our offices.
- The very latest Apple tech and everything you'll need to get going.
- 25 days holiday for a healthy work-life balance.
- A pension scheme.
- Access to a wide range of perks and discounts on Perkbox.
- A range of health benefits and mental health coverage.
