We are looking for a Student Experience Officer to join our team.
The Student Experience Officer position at Kaplan Higher Education UK sits within the Student Services department alongside our Student Support, Disability Support and Study Skills teams. The central objective of the role is to enhance the student experience for those students studying a University of Essex Online programme throughout their entire learning journey in support of their progression, retention and student satisfaction. Particular consideration is given to developing a sense of belonging and community and working in partnership with students, ensuring that the student voice is heard and the feedback loop is closed.
You will ensure service excellence is maintained across an expanding portfolio of programmes and a growing student population through effective liaison and collaboration with a wide range of internal staff and partner colleagues. You will collate and review student survey data, coordinate recruitment and training of all student representative roles, manage the administration of meetings, oversee student engagement via online forums, and ensure that students have access to relevant and current careers resources.

What You’ll Bring To The Role
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience of supporting students in a Higher Education setting.
- Experience of student-focused projects or event management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally, confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently using initiative to prioritise and progress own workload, meeting deadlines and implementing improvements within own area of work.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with a desire to embrace new technology.
