About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Medical Information on the Medical Affairs team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Associate Director, Medical Information, you’ll be responsible for creating/updating/reviewing standard and custom MI response letters/ FAQs related to Insmed products for EMEA region with a focus on DACH, for creating/reviewing and confirming the accuracy of translations of MI standard and custom response letters and FAQs in German and other relevant EMEA languages, as well as for communicating the information to internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, you will be responsible as a medical reviewer for DACH medical and commercial review committees and will help supervise Medical Information call center activities for EMEA.

What You'll Do

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to create, update, and review standard and customized medical information response letters and FAQs containing information available from reliable sources, including published medical literature, recently conducted clinical trials and data analyses, product labeling, and from recent changes in EU regulations for EMEA region with a special focus on DACH. You’ll also:

  • Confirm the accuracy of the medical information standard response letters translated from English to German
  • Help to respond to escalated medical inquiries from healthcare professionals and patients
  • Ensure that responses to unsolicited medical inquiries and requests for medical information are in keeping with Insmed’s Medical Information Standard Operating Procedures and in-line with EU Regulatory Authority regulations
  • Conduct literature searches for education and incorporation into medical information letters
  • Support summarizing literature, clinical protocols, and clinical study reports
  • Assist in training front-line Medical Information Call Center on disease state, product information, and medical information processes
  • Help ensure that all information pertaining to adverse events or product complaints received by MI staff are forwarded to Insmed’s Pharmacovigilance and/or Quality Assurance Department, respectively

Who You Are

You have a PharmD, MD, or PhD along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a medical information capacity at a pharmaceutical or biotech company.

You Are Or You Also Have

  • German as native language or at least excellent German language skills
  • Demonstrated strong command of the English language (oral and written)
  • Thorough understanding of EU and DACH regulations, compliance and industry standards relating to communicating product information to HCPs and/or consumers
  • Proficiency in medical writing, ability to correctly understand, correctly interpret, and accurately communicate scientific data and statistical analyses
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) and analytical skills in a dynamic environment
  • Proven competency in utilizing literature search engines
  • Ability to effectively work and thrive in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment, while building strong relationships with all levels of people and teams
  • Ability to work within a multi-functional team (legal, regulatory, clinical/medical, quality, research, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and document management systems (e.g., Veeva Vault)

This is a fully remote role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere in Germany, while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel (up to 15%) for team meetings or events will be expected.
