Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager who is energised by turning beautiful designs into reality. Someone who obsesses over shipping dates, thrives in the messy, wonderful chaos of bringing features to life, and loves solving complex problems with elegant solutions.

You'll lead the product development process from initial concept to launch, working closely with our world-class engineering and design teams. Your mission? Turn user problems into elegant solutions that ship on time and exceed expectations. You'll own three of our most exciting growth areas: our teacher marketplace, our mental health professional network, and our storytelling initiatives.

You’ll spend your days turning big ideas into features that millions of people use and love. Based in Sydney, you'll help scale a platform that's already reached 30 million people without spending a cent on ads.

About Insight Timer

Imagine a platform which could amplify something as simple as your attendance into deep transformational shifts for humanity. A place where showing up was enough. Where each individual visit combined with millions more to trigger huge waves of health and happiness around the world. What would such a platform look like? Could you even build it? And more importantly, how would you protect it from becoming another Instagram, TikTok or Twitter which magnify the very worst of us.

If we can answer these questions, we believe Insight Timer’s community will emerge as one of the most important companies of the 21st century. A place - not a product - which is capable of reversing the modern day health pandemic by harmonising the human spirit before problems arise. And if we get there... well, the opportunities are endless. Imagine a modern-day renaissance where health, belonging and purpose become the new definitions of happiness for hundreds of millions of people around the world, including you.

And all you need to do… is show up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Prototyping: Design and build interactive prototypes and wireframes to test concepts and communicate solutions to stakeholders before development begins.
  • Design Partnership: Collaborate directly with our Principal Designer to ideate, validate concepts, and iterate on solutions from initial concept to final implementation.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain docs and technical tickets that engineering can execute against with minimal back-and-forth.
  • Feature Delivery: Own the end-to-end delivery of features from design handoff to release. You're accountable for timelines, quality, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Revenue & Growth Focus: Drive features directly impacting teacher marketplace revenue, mental health professional engagement, and storytelling initiatives that fuel user growth.
  • Release Coordination: Create clear visibility into project status and coordinate feature releases, managing testing cycles and ensuring smooth rollouts.
  • Quality & User Experience: Partner with QA and engineering to ensure features meet our high standards and quickly resolve any user experience issues.

About You

  • Experience: 4+ years in product management at consumer tech companies, with at least 2 years at senior level, and a track record of shipping features that users love and use.
  • Solution Design: Strong UX sensibilities with experience wireframing, user journey mapping, and translating user needs into actionable solutions.
  • Technical Writing: Proven ability to write clear, comprehensive tickets and requirements that minimise engineering questions and rework.
  • Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in prototyping to bring ideas to life quickly and communicate concepts effectively.
  • Execution-Focused: Strong delivery track record with obsessive attention to timelines and quality.
  • Communication: Clear, proactive communicator.
  • Collaboration: Builds strong cross-functional partnerships across design, engineering, and stakeholder teams.
  • Agility: Thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift, resources are limited, and everyone wears multiple hats.

Benefits

  • We offer competitive salaries and options.
  • The role is fully remote but you must be willing to travel to Sydney regularly.
  • Extra leave days are available for your well-being and birthday.
  • A generous L&D budget & wellbeing bonus.
  • We host a global company retreat each year.

We dial in from all over the world, and it's important that our team is just as diverse as our community of users, customers and teachers. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.

Even if you don't think you quite meet all of the skills listed or tick all the boxes, we'd still love to hear from you.
