We are hiring a Programme Support OfficerLocation: Fully remote, preferably within GMT ±2 hours
Schedule: Part-time (22.5 to 30 hours / week), flexible working hours
Salary range: EUR 25,000 – 28,000 (pro-rata)
Experience: Experience in administrative, project or business support roles, ideally with exposure to project coordination or data management. Experience working with diverse teams and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The job
As Programme Support Officer, you will be the backbone supporting the smooth operational delivery of the Hydropower Sustainability Standard Certification System. You will independently coordinate key certification processes, manage confidential project data and support the HS Alliance governance system. Your proactive and adaptable approach will be essential to help us maintain high standards while responding flexibly to change.
Your responsibilities will include:
Certification systems and process coordination
- Certification workflow – Support the end-to-end coordination of certification process, from initial enquiry through to final certificate delivery.
- Data collection, management, and reporting - Collate and maintain certification data and prepare clear concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Document management – Maintain systems for tracking and filing project documentation ensuring all certification files are complete, up to date and consistently organised across platforms.
Governance and Council support
- Governance coordination – Manage Council member data, process applications and maintain accurate registers to ensure smooth governance operations.
- Meeting management – Organise and coordinate Council and Governance Committee meetings by scheduling, preparing, and distributing agendas and materials, as well as attending and capturing meeting minutes.
Communication support
- Inbox management and lead identification– Manage and filter incoming queries from diverse internal and external stakeholders and proactively flagging and escalating these to identified leads.
This role will be reporting to the Programme Officer and work closely with the wider team.

You should have:
- Experience in administrative, project support or similar roles.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A sharp eye for detail and instinct for spotting gaps, errors or inefficiencies
- Good organisational skills with a practical, problem-solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse cultures
- Fluency in English
The following is desirable:
- Experience supporting certification or audit processes
- Experience working with tools like Monday.com, Basecamp, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of CRM systems
- Fluency in additional languages
