About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to act as a vital link between business challenges and technical solutions within the public sector. You’ll evaluate current systems, assess the integration of new technologies, and identify opportunities for improvement. This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to define actionable requirements that align with organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements using a range of analysis techniques.
  • Translate technical language into accessible terms for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Produce structured User Stories, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and traceability artefacts.
  • Map and model business processes to identify improvements and address operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with technical architects to recommend feasible solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and user engagement activities.
  • Support change management by contributing to training materials and user support resources.
  • Work with development teams to ensure smooth implementation of systems and technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical Business Analysis role.
  • Recognised Business Analysis qualification (e.g., BCS) preferred.
  • Proven experience with complex data sets and integrated systems.
  • Strong decision-making skills, supported by logical reasoning and analysis.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of requirements engineering, stakeholder analysis, and process modelling.
  • Knowledge of systems architecture, UI considerations, and system design principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
