Head of Engineering

Job Role: Head of Engineering/ CTOSalary: Up to 352 AUD (Dependent on Experience)Location: Australia (Remote Working)

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Engineering or CTO to join a company that offers an AI-powered product management tool to retailers, distributors, and brand owners. This role is ideal for someone with experience in fast-paced startup environments, an understanding of B2B SaaS complexities, and a passion for working with AI, large language models (LLMs), and cloud-native technologies. In this position, you'll guide a team, make critical architectural decisions, and ensure the delivery of scalable, high-performance products that address real-world challenges. If you have a background in leading diverse and global teams, driving technical strategy, and are ready to take the next step in your career, this is an opportunity to shape and own the engineering function.

Skills you should hold (with over 8+ years' experience):

• Strong expertise in AI, LLMs, or machine learning, with experience implementing them in SaaS products.
• In-depth understanding of B2B SaaS, including architecture, business models, and customer requirements.
• Proven success in managing and growing remote teams in fast-paced environments.
• Solid engineering skills, with experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and DevOps/MLOps best practices.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment, where flexibility and the ability to navigate ambiguity are key.

Good to have:

• Experience in e-commerce, fintech, or enterprise SaaS.
• Proven ability to scale systems from MVP to enterprise-level solutions.
