Position Overview:
Reporting into the VP of Account Management, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving client retention, growth, and overall satisfaction of high-priority/key accounts. Working in partnership with a Sales Director, they are the voice of the client internally and have a keen focus on best-in-class service and win-win outcomes. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of pre-sale and RFP support - helping to shape proposals and strategies that close new business and set engagements up for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Build and foster strong relationships with key clients, acting as their day to day contact for all communication and addressing their inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Account Planning: Develop deep understanding of client’s business objectives, target audience, and campaign goals. Use these learnings to inform and present a comprehensive account plan that outlines an annual roadmap for achieving client growth and satisfaction through business reviews, educational meetings, entertainment and appreciation events.
- Strategy Development: Work with clients to define measurable digital KPIs that tie back to their overall business objective. Lead the comprehensive team to ensure recommendations, strategy, and campaign performance are aligned to and can exceed client expectations.
- Campaign Execution: Ensure that digital campaigns are executed accurately, on time, and within budget. Work in tandem with internal teams to monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports to clients that offer actionable insights and recommendations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate resources, and ensure deliverables and timelines are met. Actively participate/lead internal status calls, campaign kick-off calls, wrap report planning, and brainstorming sessions.
- Upselling and Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to expand services and upsell additional offerings to existing clients, working closely with Sales Directors to achieve revenue growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors' activities. Proactively share relevant insights and knowledge with clients to position Digilant as a trusted advisor and industry expert.
- Conflict Resolution: Anticipate client needs and proactively resolve or escalate potential issues. Manage and provide solutions to conflicts both internally and externally with clients and internal teams.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, delivering both internal and external needs.
- Extremely detail oriented and organized.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Passion and aptitude for learning new concepts quickly.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to build strong client and internal relationships.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams to deliver on client needs.
- Experienced with PowerPoint, Excel and project management platform (such as Monday.com).
- 5+ years of advertising and digital media experience and strong knowledge of the programmatic space, preferred. Paid Search and Paid Social experience also highly desired.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients that resulted in client retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth, preferred.
