12 month fixed term contract (with possibility of going permanent)

Package: Salary up to £40,000 plus on call allowance (around £4-8k on top). Benefits include private health, pension etc.

Working hours are 9-5:30 with opportunity for on call of an evening/weekend.

This role is a UK based position, entirely remote, but will be supporting the NOC for this UK based altnet. These are a well-funded FTTP ISP that are looking to keep diversifying their markets, with both UK and International aspirations.

Solid senior leadership team are in place with a mixed environment of in house technology alongside the use of external technology partners.

In a nutshell, you’ll be a 2nd/3rd line NOC engineer, resolving any escalations that come from the 1st line team. Due to role requirements, we need someone who’s had real world technical support experience with XGS-PON. That’s the key and while we can flex on the other technical skills, the reality is you need to be from a XGS-PON or GPON technical support background from an ISP and this will include support from the exchange to Optical Network Terminals.

This company currently outsource the 1st line of their NOC, and due to workload, need another internal NOC engineer to come in and support their other points of escalation.
