Role Description This full-time remote Insurance Specialist role focuses on supporting individuals and employers in understanding and selecting appropriate Colonial Life insurance products. On a day-to-day basis, the Insurance Specialist will consult with clients to assess coverage needs, explain policy options, and assist with enrollment in workplace benefit programs. The role involves responding to inquiries, handling policy changes, and providing clear, accurate information regarding benefits, claims processes, and premium details. The Insurance Specialist will collaborate with internal teams and insurance brokerage partners, maintain detailed records in company systems, and follow regulatory and compliance guidelines. Regular responsibilities also include building strong customer relationships, meeting service and productivity goals, and staying current on product updates and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices.
- Candidates should possess foundational understanding of Finance principles related to premiums, claims, and benefits.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with diverse clients and teams.
- Candidates should possess proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with workplace benefits, attention to detail, proficiency with CRM or enrollment platforms, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Relevant professional experience in insurance, financial services, or employee benefits, along with a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree or industry certifications (such as state insurance licensing) are preferred.
