9-month remote working part-time contract role (July 2026 – March 2027) for CMC Rocks QLD & Ridin’ Hearts.
This is an opportunity for a highly organised, creative and digitally confident Social Media and Content Creator who is passionate about country music to help bring a major live music festival to life across social media, digital content, app communications and fan engagement. Note that this is a content delivery, part time contract role and you will need to be engaged through your own current ABN and hold eligible working rights in Australia.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for someone who is regionally based, a country music fan, and understands social media, community engagement and digital storytelling. Being able to write clear, engaging copy across multiple platforms while working confidently in a fast-paced event environment is essential. This role will be performed remotely, with potentially some ad hoc requirement to attend the offices from time to time as required and you will need to be available to work on ground at the Festival in March. This contract role is based on deliverables. Some months will be busier than others, as a guide, you’ll need to be able to deliver content and be online for the equivalent of:
· Approximately 2-3 days per week across July, August and September.
· Approximately 1-2 days per week across October, November and December.
· Approximately 3 days per week across January and February.
· Approximately 3 days per week for the beginning and end of March.
· On site in Ipswich QLD during March, exact dates will be confirmed during the interview process.
Key ResponsibilitiesCampaign Period
- Write and adapt engaging copy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, email marketing, paid social and festival app communications.
- Support content planning, scheduling, campaign messaging, artist announcements, ticket launches and key marketing moments.
- Create short-form video, social media assets and digital content using tools such as CapCut and Canva, following established brand guidelines.
- Manage community engagement across social platforms and the community inbox, responding professionally to fans, talent and partners.
- Create and update festival app content, including announcements, reminders, key event information and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain consistent brand tone and messaging while supporting and reporting to the Marketing Manager throughout the pre-festival period.
- This role will also provide services for our Ridin’ Hearts festival during campaign time.
On-site Festival Responsibilities
- Publish real-time social media content across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, capturing key festival moments as they happen.
- Shoot, edit and publish short-form video content for fast-turnaround reels, stories and TikToks.
- Coordinate content capture with photographers, videographers, content creators and the wider marketing team.
- Create and update festival app notifications, schedule changes, key announcements and operational messaging.
- Manage live community engagement across all channels, including the info inbox, during festival operating hours.
- Support sponsor activation coverage, festival programming updates and on-site marketing delivery while reporting to the Marketing Manager.
Skills and Experience
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging across social media, email, app and digital channels.
- Confident using Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Canva and short-form video editing tools such as CapCut.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management, particularly during busy campaign and live event periods.
- Comfortable managing community engagement and responding professionally to fan, customer, talent and partner enquiries.
- Experience in music, festivals, live events, entertainment or lifestyle marketing will be highly regarded.
- Being regionally based and / or a Country Music fan will be highly regarded but are not requirements for the role.
Renumeration
· Delivered part-time contract role fee of $44,000 (inclusive of superannuation, exclusive of GST).
· The Festival will provide return travel from your home, accommodation and meals for the duration of your time on the Festival site, as well as return travel from your home and accommodation for any ad-hoc office visits.

1. One short-form video (Reel or TikTok, your choice) for example, a recap-style edit, an artist spotlight, or similar.
2. Two social tiles, with captions:
a. One designed to sell tickets and
b. One as a general feed post (e.g. line up reminder, behind-the-scenes, or similar).
This gives us a feel for both your video editing and your design/copy skills in a CMC context.
