About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic PR Director to join us on a freelance basis to cover maternity leave, leading accounts at ATW Travel Marketing and APAC Now Ltd. This is a senior role suited to someone confident in leading client accounts, shaping strategy, and delivering high-impact PR campaigns within the travel and lifestyle sectors.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Client Leadership
- Develop and deliver strategic PR plans aligned with client and commercial objectives
- Act as the senior point of contact for key clients
- Ensure campaigns remain proactive, relevant and results-driven
- Monitor account performance, budgets and growth opportunities
Media Relations & Communications
- Build and maintain strong media relationships across travel, lifestyle and trade press
- Secure high-quality coverage and thought leadership opportunities
- Oversee content creation including press releases and features
- Lead media strategies and oversee press trips and events
Reputation & Insights
- Provide senior guidance on crisis communications and reputation management
- Analyse campaign performance and refine strategies using insights and data
Team & Agency Leadership
- Mentor junior team members and maintain high standards across accounts
- Contribute to agency strategy, processes and best practice
- Represent the agency externally and build industry relationships
Integrated Communications
- Oversee influencer and partnership activity
- Ensure alignment across PR, social and digital campaigns
New Business
- Identify and support new business opportunities
- Lead on proposals and pitches
- Opportunity to earn 5% commission on new business secured
Additional Information
- Remote working, with 1–2 in-person meetings per month in London
- Occasional travel may be required (agreed in advance)
- Ad hoc tasks may arise in line with the nature of PR work
About You
- Proven experience at senior PR Director level
- Strong background in travel and/or lifestyle PR
- Excellent media contacts and client management skills
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
- Comfortable working independently in a freelance capacity
