We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to end users for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues. The role will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations and timely resolution of user issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to end users.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office, email, VPN, and common software issues.
- Configure and support user accounts, system access, and basic network connectivity.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Manage IT support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within defined SLAs.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including system setup and access management.
- Maintain IT asset and inventory records.
- Escalate complex technical issues to relevant infrastructure or application teams.
- Perform system updates, software installations, and basic security checks.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-base articles.
- Provide remote and onsite support as required.
- Hands-on experience in Desktop / IT Support.
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing/service management tools.
- Basic understanding of networking and VPN troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Azure AD (Entra ID).
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM/MECM or Intune.
- Basic knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Experience with remote support tools.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or ITIL.
