This role is ideal for an experienced sales and account management professional with a strong background in the pulp and paper industry who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving business growth. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with paper mills and manufacturing operations to identify opportunities, improve performance, and deliver value through ANDRITZ's industry-leading service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and grow customer relationships throughout the Western U.S.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities across ANDRITZ Paper Service products and solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer operations, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, service, project management, and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Lead customer meetings, technical discussions, presentations, and account reviews.
  • Maintain territory plans, forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and customer activity within CRM systems.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies that support long-term account growth and retention.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the pulp and paper industry.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the pulp and paper industry.
  • Knowledge of ANDRITZ Stock Preparation and Paper Machine Service product lines.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (approximately 80%).

Preferred

  • Sales, business development, or account management experience within the pulp and paper industry.
  • Established relationships with paper industry customers throughout the Western United States.
  • Demonstrated success driving sales growth and meeting territory objectives.
  • Experience supporting industrial manufacturing or process industries.


Working Environment

This home-office-based position requires frequent travel to customer sites, mills, and manufacturing facilities throughout the Western United States. When visiting customer facilities, employees may be exposed to industrial environments including varying temperatures, dust, noise, moving equipment, and production operations. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
