Amazon Account Manager
Job Description
Posted on: June 12, 2026
About the Company
Amazon Growth Lab (AGL) is a full-service Amazon marketing agency that helps eCommerce brands grow and scale on the platform. We specialize in improving visibility, increasing sales, and optimizing advertising through data-driven strategies and structured execution.
Our goal is simple: move brands from basic presence to category leadership. We are a lean, focused team that operates with clarity, speed, and a strong commitment to measurable client outcomes.
About the Role
Account Managers at Amazon Growth Lab are the primary owners of client results. You are not just an ad technician — you are a strategic partner to 10–13 Amazon brands, responsible for their growth, retention, and overall experience with the agency.
You own PPC, listings, and client strategy end-to-end. This is a high-ownership role where you are expected to identify problems before clients raise them, communicate results clearly, and provide specific, actionable recommendations in every interaction — not just updates.
The standard is simple: every client on your book should feel they are getting more value than what they’re paying for, every month.
Why Work With Us
At AGL, we build culture through how we actually work — not through performative perks.
We respect people’s time and expect ownership. We communicate directly, move quickly, and hold a high bar for output and accountability. You won’t be micromanaged, but you will be expected to deliver.
We invest in people who take responsibility for results and consistently raise the standard of their work.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of Amazon agency experience — you already understand the platform and don’t need basic training
- Experience managing multiple accounts across different categories simultaneously
- Commercially minded — you understand that client results drive retention and revenue
- Proactive communicator — you update before being asked
- Data-fluent — able to analyze performance reports and explain insights clearly
- Accountable — you take ownership when results fall short and act on it
- Strategic thinker — you focus on account-level growth, not just campaign execution
- Calm under pressure — able to act decisively when performance drops or clients are unhappy
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy
- Act as the strategic lead on all accounts — clients should view you as an Amazon expert
- Prepare and lead quarterly QBRs (30 minutes, data-driven, forward-looking)
- Send weekly client updates (max 3 lines): what was done, what’s next, one question
- Identify and flag growth opportunities (new ASINs, DSP, expansion)
- Proactively flag churn risks to Client Success immediately
- Never give vague responses — always provide a clear action, timeline, or recommendation
PPC Management
While working closely with an Amazon PPC Manager, you will:
- Oversee Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns
- Ensure campaign structures are built and scaled with clear strategy (no set-and-forget)
- Monitor ACOS and TACoS weekly — flag any movement beyond ±3 points before clients notice
- Guide keyword research, harvesting, and negative keyword strategies
- Coordinate with the ops team for Merchant Spring data requirements
- Provide 3 specific, measurable PPC actions monthly for ROI reports
Listing Optimization
While working closely with a Catalog and SEO Manager, you will:
- Oversee listing content (titles, bullets, descriptions, A+ Content) across all ASINs
- Ensure audits are completed at onboarding and at the 6-month mark
- Monitor conversion rates and proactively flag underperforming ASINs
- Track Buy Box % and escalate issues below 80% for top ASINs
- Ensure no listing task is delayed due to client inactivity beyond 7 days without follow-up
- Ensure all listing updates go live only after documented client approval
Reporting
- Review and approve ROI reports on the same day they are submitted
- Complete weekly meeting prep before every Monday meeting
- Actively participate in weekly meetings and raise client issues when needed
- Respond to ops requests (response time, scope expansion) within the same day
Collaborative Leadership
- Work closely with PPC specialists, catalog managers, project managers, and designers
- Recognize strong performance and flag gaps early
- Collaborate with HR and leadership on performance management when needed
- Ensure team bandwidth is aligned with account demands
Tools & Systems
Includes but is not limited to:
- ClickUp — task and project management
- Slack — internal communication
- Google Workspace — Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail
- Amazon Seller Central — account management
- Amazon Advertising Console — campaign execution
- Merchant Spring — performance reporting (via ops team)
What Success Looks Like
At AGL, success is defined by client retention and growth, not short-term wins.
- Your clients know their results before they ask
- When performance drops, you bring solutions — not questions
- Your reports clearly justify the client’s investment
- At-risk clients are identified and addressed early
- Every interaction includes a proactive recommendation
