Network Engineer II - Remote/Poland

We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai's products. Our team ensures consistent availability and performance for our customers. Partner with the best As a Network Engineer, you'll work on new installations. Also, the deployment, configuration and maintenance of routers and switches. You will have akey role ni the development of organizational standards and advanced troubleshooting. This to ensure the continued growth and stability of our global platform. As a Network Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining Juniper and Cisco routers and switches
• Configuring and debugging complex peering relationships via BGP (policies/route-maps) as wel as high-capacity data circuits
• Working with vendors and internal organizations to build out large points of presence across the globe
• Collaborating with the cross-functional team on standards and processes for router deployments and update documentation accordingly
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation on router configuration and non- standard setups
• Acting as an escalation point to resolve provider connectivity issues

Do What You Love To be successful in this role you will:

• Possess a bachelor's ni computer science or related field with +2 years of experience in computer networking.
• Have an experience in managing and troubleshooting Juniper & Cisco routers and switches
• Demonstrate hands-on BGP experience with a large service provider organization
• Display solid experience in IP network design and routing architectures
• Have working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and Python programming language
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability ot build trusting relationships
